Commodity Supplemental Food Program

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) supplies a monthly box of high quality USDA food.  The box will have 4 canned vegetables, 2 canns of fruit, 1 can of meat or tuna, 2 cans of juice, 2 boxes of breakfast cereal, milk, pasta, a meat substitute such as peanut butter or beans, and a 2lb package of cheese.

Eligibility

Eligibility for Seniors is based on being 60 years of age and older and with total household income from all sources less than 130% of the  Federal Poverty Income Guidelines

There is no cost for this program

Program Background and Details

This program is managed through a partnership with over 25 sites.  Most are senior housing sites, but also faith-based and social service organizations.  A large number of volunteers also support this program.  CADCOM partners with the SHARE Food Program.  Volunteers package the food at SHARE each month and CADCOM delivers the boxes.  Enrollment and certification is done at the various sites or through CADCOM.
